I mainly use these when recording videos for my YouTube channels and I must say I love these lights but I have a couple dislikes too, what the actual lights their self but the stand and the app that controls them,
The lights themselves are amazing but. first the desk stands issue, the stud on the top of the stand is made out of very soft aluminum and when you tighten the light onto the stand it gouges into the soft metal and metal flakes are going all over, I’ll post a photo of the stand so you can see what I’m talking about. but most photography light stands that have a stud like this on top they’re made out of very hard metal and this does not happen.
The app that you can use to adjust these lights is pretty terrible,. it puts out a Wi-Fi signal and you actually have to disconnect from your Wi-Fi and connect to the lights Wi-Fi and the instructions to get the app to work are very very confusing but once you get connected it’s pretty cool it just sucks having to disconnect from your Wi-Fi to connect to the lights Wi-Fi.
Now let’s go to the good,. These are beautiful, soft well defused, edge lit lights, with great CRI, if you’re not familiar with CRI something with a rating of 95 plus will make your colors look wonderful in natural unlike cheap lights with lower CRI, and trust me it actually makes a huge difference. I use the 15 inch light for the key light and the10 inch one for the fill light. I’ve been using cheap ring lights for a few years now moved up to these and it’s amazing how much nicer my videos footage and photos look once you get some good lighting in your studio.
there was a great sale on these things so I bought one of them and I was so impressed I bought the second one but the desk stands should have a hard metal stud instead of a soft aluminum one,. not sure why they would design them like this.

I needed a ring light for my desk, where I take pictures from the desk often. My old ring light cast some faint shadows where they were hard to adjust at times, where this one doesnt cast any of those light shadows where I was really glad to see that. Very easy to control where the stand adjusts perfectly to any angle that I need. The lighting is controlled by the interface on the back of the light, however, I really like the android app where it works great to get control without being behind the light. Very easy to assemble and dissassemble where the case is really fine quality as well where it has plenty of cushion to protect the light. No cons, light works great for me, where I am very happy with the purchase.

I know, I am cheesy with the puns. Anyway, this is a great lightweight edge lit LED light. It comes with a desk stand thingy and a power brick. I can use my many Sony NPF batteries with it. The controls are easy to learn and pretty straightforward. The only thing I did not like: I could not get the mobile app to work with the light. Could never get it to connect. To be honest I was probably never going to use that feature anyway.

I really love how soft the light is without sacrificing brightness. The light is plenty bright and I even have to dial it down a bit for my video streaming! What’s even better is the desk stand is out of the way and fits perfectly to my setup. Video creators and online instructors need to get this.

Nice lights. Adjustable for brightness and color. Keep in mind the brightest it gets is when all LEDs are on. When warming or cooling temp the light will get dimmer. Wish it was consistent brightness throughout, but I get why it¡¯s not, so not a big deal, but something good to know.

Surprisingly bright! I do photo and video work and this thin, light weight, yet durable light packs a serious punch. Easy to haul around and does it¡¯s job well. I love the compact mount that comes with it, I can mount it to stands in studio or desks and tables on location. Fantastic purchase. I highly recommend it.

Definitely recommend! First thing I noticed is the build quality. I own several led lights and the ones in the same price range do not compare. Versatile because of the table mount. Will buy another one to make my desk a product photo table.

Great light for zoom interviews. The long AC adapter is much appreciated. Runs happily off of 2 NPF batteries when not in range of an outlet.
Gets a bit hot around the rim when on for > 1 hr. It is a bit heavy so make sure you have a stable light stand or table if you are using the included stand.

I use these lights every single day for my remote job. I also use them when streaming on Twitch. The softness of these lights is amazing, and the brightness can be too. I love how evenly distributed the lights are and I even made a YouTube video about them. I am not sure I can link the video, but checkout YouTube and search Exo616 and you will see first hand that these lights work very well for streaming. They are better than the ElGato Key Light in my opinion, but you be the judge of that.
